Recommendation: The throttle cable should be replaced if it is stuck in the sheath or damaged.
Removing
1. We prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Remove the air supply hose to the throttle (see above, "Throttle valve - actuator adjustment").
Note: The hose will interfere, especially when installing a new cable.
3. Using a slotted screwdriver, pry off the retaining spring and remove it from the sector.
4. Remove the plastic sleeve from the tip of the cable sheath and the key by 13 mm unscrew the adjusting nut (indicated by an arrow).
5. We pull the cable sheath out of the bracket hole and bring the cable out through the slot in the bracket.
6. We remove the tip of the cable from the sector of the throttle assembly.
7. We stretch the cable with the sheath through the plastic clamps for fastening to the fan casing and the cooling system hose or cut the clamps with wire cutters (installation requires a new clamp).
8. Under the instrument panel, prying with a screwdriver, disconnect the tip of the throttle cable from the pedal lever "gas".
9. We pull the end of the cable out of the passenger compartment through the hole in the partition of the engine compartment and remove the cable.
Installation
Install the throttle cable in reverse order. After installing the cable, we adjust the throttle actuator and install the air supply hose (see "Throttle valve - actuator adjustment").
