Examination
1. We prepare the car for work (see "Preparing the car for maintenance and repair").
2. Remove the air filter housing (see "Air filter - removal and installation").
3. By pressing the spring clips, disconnect the wiring harness block from the vehicle speed sensor.
Note: Access to the vehicle speed sensor from the engine compartment is restricted by hoses and wiring harnesses, so the wiring harness will have to be disconnected by feel. You can do this work from a viewing hole.
4. Connect "negative" voltmeter probe to "mass" (to the engine).
5. Turning on the ignition, use a voltmeter to measure the supply voltage at the output "+" wiring harness pads (output designation is printed on the sensor).
Note: The voltage at the output must be at least 12 V. If the voltage is not supplied to the block or it is less than 12 V, then the battery is discharged, the power circuit is faulty or the computer is faulty.
Tip: You can verify that the vehicle speed sensor is faulty by replacing it with a known good one.
Removing
By hand (or wrench by 22 mm) unscrew the sensor and remove it from the drive.
Installation
Install the sensor in the reverse order of removal.
