Removal and installation of side doors

The structures for fastening the front doors to the body of all models of cars of the LADA SAMARA-2 family and the rear doors of cars VAZ-2115 and VAZ-2114 are the same, therefore this subsection shows the process of removing and installing only the front door.

You will need: a beard, socket head «at 13», collar.

1. Remove the front door upholstery (see «Removal and installation of an upholstery of a forward door»).

2. Disconnect the two blocks of wires of the door lock gearmotor.



3. Remove from the hole in the door panel the clamp of the wiring harnesses of the power window and the door lock gearmotor.



4. Disconnect the wiring harness block from the power window of the door.




5. Remove the protective rubber tube of the wiring harness from the hole in the door panel..



6.... and the wiring harness for the door lock and power window motor.



7. Remove the pin from the lug of the front door opening limiter



8. Holding the door, unscrew the bolts securing the top..




9.... and the lower hinges of the door to the body..



10.... and remove the door.



11. Install the door in the reverse order of removal, if necessary, adjust the position of the door in the doorway; gaps around the entire perimeter of the door relative to the opening should be the same.
