Helpful Hints: It is necessary to remove the rear axle with assistants who will hold and lower the rear suspension beam.
If, after removing the beam, it is supposed to be disassembled, first loosen the wheel bolts and hub nuts.
Warning! Loosen and tighten the wheel bolts only with the vehicle on the ground. Bolt tightening torque 65–95 Nm (6.5–9.5 kgf·m).
1. Remove the tips of both parking brake cables from the equalizer and remove the retainer cables on the bottom of the car (see «Replacing the parking brake cable»).
2. Disconnect the rear wheel brake hoses from the pipelines on both sides of the car and the pressure regulator elastic lever link from the bracket on the beam (see «Replacing the pressure regulator»).
3. Turn away nuts of the bottom fastening of racks, take out bolts and disconnect racks from arms of a beam on both parties of the car. Assistants must hold the beam.
4. Turn away from both sides on one nut of bolts of fastening of a beam to arms, knock out bolts and remove a beam, having rolled out it from under the car on wheels.
Helpful advice. The manufacturer recommends removing the beam together with the brackets by unscrewing three nuts of their fastening. However, after prolonged use, rusted studs can break. Therefore, it is better to remove the beam by disconnecting it from the brackets that remain on the body.
5. Establish a beam of a back suspension bracket in an order, the return to removal.
6. Finally tighten the nuts of the beam mounting bolts with the vehicle on the ground.
7. After installation, bleed the brake system and adjust parking brake.
