1.10. instrument cluster



The arrangement of devices and control lamps in a combination of devices is shown in fig. 1.10.

The following devices and signaling devices are installed in the instrument cluster:

1 - coolant temperature gauge in the engine cooling system. On the scale of the pointer, divisions corresponding to temperatures of 50, 90 and 130°C are applied. The red zone warns of engine overheating. If the arrow goes into the red zone, stop, let the engine cool down and eliminate the cause of overheating;



2 - an electronic type tachometer shows the engine speed. The scale is marked with divisions from 0 to 80, the division value is 5. To find out the speed of the crankshaft, you need to multiply the tachometer readings by 100. The shaded red zone of the scale means the engine is operating at a high speed, the solid red zone is dangerous for the engine modes;


3 — a control lamp of inclusion of the left index of turn (with a green color filter in the form of an arrow) flashes when the left direction indicator is turned on synchronously with it. The blinking of a control lamp with a double frequency indicates a lamp burnout in any direction indicator;

4 — a control lamp of inclusion of the right index of turn (see 3);



5 - an induction type speedometer shows how fast the car is currently moving.

The scale contains divisions from 0 to 200 km/h, the division value is 10 km/h. The speedometer drive is electric from a sensor mounted on the gearbox housing;



6 - the fuel level indicator of the electromagnetic principle of operation only works when the ignition is on. When the ignition is off, the arrow is located at the beginning of the scale. The scale has divisions: 0 - empty tank, 1/2 - half tank, 1 - full tank;


7 — a control lamp of the minimum reserve of fuel in a tank (with orange filter) constantly lit when the remaining fuel in the tank is 4-6.5 liters;

8 — a control lamp of inclusion of dimensional light (with green filter) indicates the inclusion of side light in the headlights and taillights;

9 - signal lamp emergency state of the brake system (with red filter) lights up when the brake fluid level drops below the mark «min» on the brake master cylinder reservoir;

10 — a control lamp of inclusion of a high beam of headlights (with blue filter) indicates the inclusion of high beam headlights;



11 - button for resetting the daily mileage counter, switching the indication of time and ambient temperature, setting the time;

12 - electronic type mileage indicator. The top line of the indicator shows the total mileage of the car, the bottom line shows the daily mileage. Reset the readings of the daily mileage counter by holding button 11 pressed for more than 5 s on a stationary vehicle;

13 - control lamp engine management systems (with orange filter) «CHECK ENGINE» («Check engine»). With a working control system, it lights up after the ignition is turned on and goes out immediately after the engine is started;

Warning! The burning of the lamp in various modes when the car is moving indicates the failure of any elements of the engine control system.

14 — a control lamp of inclusion of the alarm system (with red light filter). Flashes when the alarm is activated;

15 - indicator of time and temperature. The indication of time and temperature is switched by briefly pressing the button. After switching on the ignition at an ambient temperature above +2°C, the time display always appears. When the ambient temperature drops below +2°C, the indicator shows the time for 3 seconds, and then switches to the temperature indication mode (first 10 s in flashing mode). When the outside air temperature rises above +3°C and drops again to +2°C:

• in the case of time indication, automatic switching to temperature indication in flashing mode occurs for the first 10 s;
• in the case of a temperature display, the continuous mode is interrupted by a 10 second flashing mode.

Set the hours and minutes in the time indication mode by turning the button 11 in the direction of the characters «h» («watch») And «min» («minutes»);

Note. After disconnecting the battery and its subsequent connection, the countdown starts from zero.

16 - battery discharge warning light (with red filter) lights up when the ignition is turned on. Immediately after starting the engine, the lamp should go out. If the lamp burns or burns half-heartedly with the engine running, it indicates that there is no charging current caused by generator malfunction or voltage regulator, as well as weak tension (or a cliff) generator drive belt;


17 — a control lamp of inclusion of a parking brake (with red filter) lights up when the ignition is on, if the car is braked by the parking brake;

18 - control lamp emergency oil pressure drop (with red filter) lights up when the ignition is turned on and warns that the pressure in the engine lubrication system is below normal;

Warning! The movement of a car with a burning lamp is prohibited.

19 — a control lamp of the air damper of the carburetor (reserve for a vehicle with a fuel injection system).
