Car door locks

The car has a door lock system («central locking»). When the driver's door is unlocked with the button or key, all side doors will also unlock.



To open the doors, insert the key into the lock cylinder of the front left door, turn it counterclockwise (the locks of all side doors of the car are unlocked) …

Note. When the key is opened from the outside of the right front door of the vehicle, the remaining doors will remain locked.

To open the door from inside the passenger compartment, pull the inside handle towards you.



Inside front and rear doors (on cars VAZ-2114, VAZ-2115) are locked by pressing the lock button on the left front door. The door lock system provides for the possibility of individually unlocking the rear doors and the right front door using the door lock buttons. When the lock buttons are down, the doors cannot be opened either from the inside or from the outside. In this case, both the outer and inner handles have free play.



You can unlock the door with a key (front doors), or by pulling out the lock button with your hand. It is not possible to lock open front doors by pressing the button. Locking the rear doors is possible by pressing the button in any position of the door.


Trunk lid lock (VAZ-2115) and tailgate (VAZ-2114, VAZ-2113) locked with the same key as the front side doors. In order to open it..



... insert the key into the lock cylinder, turn it counterclockwise, remove the key, press the cylinder and, sinking it, raise the trunk lid (VAZ-2115) or tailgate (cars VAZ-2113, VAZ-2114). To close the trunk lid (VAZ-2115) or tailgate (VAZ-2114, VAZ-2113), lower it and close it with a little force at the end of the stroke.

In order to prevent children from opening the rear doors from the inside, for safety purposes, an additional door lock device is provided - «children's» lock.



The lever of this device is located at the end of the rear door, access to it is possible only when the door is open. Push the lever down to lock. When enabled «children's» lock and raised lock button, the rear door can only be opened from the outside.
