In case of significant deformations, breaks, replace the wing.
Remove the bumper, hood and front door.
Use a thin, sharp chisel or grinder to cut off the wing along the lines shown in Figure 8-5.
Pic. 8-5. Front fender and roof panel welding lines. The dots indicate the resistance welding seam. The arrows show the places of preliminary welding by gas welding
Detach the wing, remove the remaining wing strips, straighten the deformed edges and clean them with an electric or pneumatic grinder.
Install the front door and new fender, secure the fender with quick release pliers.
Weld the wing by gas welding at the points indicated by the arrows in the figure. As a filler material, solder bars L62, L63 with a diameter of 2-3 mm can be used.
Install the hood and check the position of the wing. The protrusion or retraction of the wing relative to the door or hood is allowed no more than 2 mm, the gaps of the wing with the hood and the door along the front surface are 5±2 mm.
Remove the hood and door.
Weld the fender by contact welding in 40-50 mm increments to the bulkhead, mudguard and bulkhead shield. Gas welding with brass solder or electric welding in a carbon dioxide environment with a discontinuous seam 10 mm long is allowed every 50-60 mm. Perform electric welding using semiautomatic devices with wire sv08g1s or sv08g2s with a diameter of 0.8 mm.
Weld the fender to the bulkhead panel by flash welding the edges with an interrupted seam.
