1. «The battery negative must always be connected to «weight», A «plus» - connect to clamp «30» generator. An erroneous reverse connection of the battery will immediately cause an increased current through the generator valves and they will fail.
2. It is not allowed to operate the generator with disconnected from the clamp «30» consumer wires (especially with the battery disconnected). This causes a dangerous increase in voltage on the valves, and they can be damaged.
3. It is forbidden to check the operability of the generator «for a spark» even short-term clamp connection «30» generator with «weight» or plug «67». In this case, a significant current flows through the valves and they are damaged. You can only check the generator with an ammeter and a voltmeter.
4. It is forbidden to check the charging current circuits with a megohmmeter or a lamp powered by 36 V. If such a check is necessary, then first disconnect the wires from the generator and voltage regulator.
5. It is necessary to check the strength of the stator insulation with increased voltage only at the stand and always with the leads of the phase windings disconnected from the valves.
6. Wire attached to the plug «67» alternator, not to be confused with the wire connected to the star zero point output plug (unmarked plug). If you mistakenly swap the wires, fuse 10 will blow (rice. 7-1) and the contacts of the voltage regulator will be damaged.
7. When welding components and parts of the car body, disconnect the wires from all terminals of the generator and battery.
8. In no case should the generator valves be tested in the circuit with an AC voltage of 110 and 220 V or more, even if there is a signal neon lamp, and should not be checked with a megohmmeter, since it has too high a voltage for the valves. In these cases, the valve will be broken during the test (a short circuit will occur).
