- put the gearshift lever in neutral position and brake the car with a parking brake;
- by rotating the crankshaft, set the cam of the breaker to a position in which the breaker contacts will be as open as possible;
- check the gap with a feeler gauge; if it goes beyond 0.35-0.45 mm, then by loosening the screws 21 (see fig. 7-21) fastening the breaker post, turn it to the desired value by inserting the blade of a screwdriver into the groove 22. After adjustment, tighten the screws 21 until it stops.
