Engine oil change

The oil must be changed when the engine is hot. To completely drain the oil, wait at least 10 minutes after opening the drain hole.

When changing the oil, the oil filter should also be replaced, which is removed using tool A.60312 (see fig. 2-4). Wrap the filter by hand when installing.

Change the oil in the following order:

• after stopping the engine, drain the used oil and, without removing the oil filter, fill in one of the flushing oils (VNIINP-FD, MSP-1, MPT-2M) up to the mark «MIN» on the oil level gauge (2.9 l);
• start the engine and let it run on this oil for 10 minutes at minimum idle speed;
• completely drain the flushing oil and remove the old oil filter;
• install a new oil filter and fill in the correct oil for the season.
