Removal and installation of semiaxes

Remove the wheel and brake drum.

Having unscrewed the nuts securing the brake shield to the axle beam, using ejector 67.7823.9516, holding the brake shield, remove the axle shaft together with the oil deflector, the bearing mounting plate and the bearing locking ring.

If replacement is necessary, remove the gland from the beam flange.

Install the axle shaft in the reverse order of removal, being careful not to damage the sealing lip. Before installing the brake drum, lubricate the landing belt of the axle shaft with graphite grease or LSTs-15 grease. After installation, check the operation of the axle shafts in road conditions.
