ring wrench «on 10» unscrew the three bolts securing the intake pipe of the oil pump.
We remove the intake pipe with the pressure reducing valve.
Removing the relief valve...
...valve spring...
...and a thrust washer.
Remove the pump cover.
We remove the driven gear from the pump housing...
...and a drive gear with a drive shaft.
We wash the pump parts with gasoline or kerosene and blow it with compressed air. In the presence of cracks and severe wear of the housing, cover and gears, we replace the pump. The mating surfaces of the pressure reducing valve and the pump cover must be free of nicks and burrs, which can lead to a decrease in oil pressure in the engine lubrication system.
We assemble the pump in the reverse order. Lubricate the pump parts with engine oil. After assembly, when turning the drive shaft by hand, the gears should rotate smoothly, without jamming.
