Sliding Fork Oil Seal Replacement

Removing the driveshaft (see Removing the cardan shaft).



With a beard we shift the stuffing box holder along the shaft.



We mark the relative position of the shaft and fork with paint.



Disconnect the shaft and fork.



We remove the oil seal from the shaft..



...and clip.

Assemble the knot in reverse order. We put on the clip and a new oil seal (large outer diameter to fork) on the shaft. We lubricate the spline connection of the shaft with Fiol-2U grease. When connecting the shaft and fork, we combine the marks. We press the gland with the clip until it stops against the end of the fork and crimp the clip on the groove of the fork.
