Parking brake adjustment

If the parking brake does not hold the car on a slope of up to 30°when the lever is moved by 4-5 teeth of the sector, adjust it in the following order:

• raise lever 2 (see fig. 123) parking brake drive for 1-2 sector teeth;
• loosen the locknut of the tensioner and, turning the adjusting nut 9, tighten the cable;
• check the full stroke of the lever 2, which should be 4-5 teeth in a sector, then tighten the lock nut. After performing several braking, make sure that the lever stroke has not changed, and the car wheels rotate freely, without sticking at the lower position of the lever 2.
