Warning. When closing the hood, make sure that there are no tools, rags, etc. on the wing flanges or the front cross member. When closing the hood, do not drop it, but gently lower and slam it shut.
Pull the hood latch handle under the instrument panel on the left side towards you.
Put your hand under the hood just to the left of the middle, press the safety hook lever from the bottom up and lift the hood.
Remove the stop from the latch on the body and...
... fix the hood in the open position by inserting the upper hook of the stop into the groove on the inside of the hood.
To close the hood, lower the stop, secure it to the latch on the body, and carefully lower the hood. This will lock the safety hook. Click on the hood (roughly in the middle) until it clicks, the hood latch will close.
