Order of execution
Check the condition and performance of units, assemblies, systems and devices:
1. The condition of the paintwork and the protective coating of the wheel arches. Repair any damage found.
2. Availability of tools and completeness of the car.
3. Are there any leaks of oils and liquids from vehicle units, as well as their levels in accordance with the requirements of the manufacturer's water:
- coolant (see subsections 2.8 and 3.2);
- brake fluid (see subsections 2.11 and 3.4);
- oil in the crankcase (see subsections 2.9 and 3.1);
- oil in the gearbox housing (see subsections 2.10 and 3.1);
- glass washer fluid (see subsection 2.12).
4. Condition and fastening of wheels, protective covers of CV joints, steering gear, steering rod joints and suspension (front and back), ball pin anthers and gearshift rods (see subsections 2.7, 3.22, 3.23 and 3.24).
5. The level and density of the electrolyte in the battery. Perform maintenance if necessary (see subsection 3.38).
6. Adjust (if necessary):
- ignition timing (see subsection 3.19);
- gaps in the gas distribution mechanism (contact the experts);
- carburetor starter (contact the experts);
- carburetor idle system with CO and CH control (at specialized posts or service stations);
- tire pressure (see subsection 2.7);
- headlight beam direction (see subsection 3.39);
- alternator drive belt tension (see subsection 3.13).
7. Fastening high-voltage wires to the terminals of the ignition system devices (see subsection 3.18).
8. The action of the service and parking brake systems, as well as the free travel of the brake pedal (see subsections 3.26, 3.29 and 3.37).
9. Are there any extraneous knocks during the operation of the engine, gearbox, clutch and wheel drives.
10. Work (adjust if necessary):
- power windows, door and hood locks;
- generator, instrumentation, lighting devices, light and sound alarms, ignition systems;
- seat belt buckles, seat adjusters;
- windshield wipers and washers (see subsection 2.20).
11. Condition and tension of the timing belt (see subsection 3.16).
12. Clutch pedal travel (contact a professional for adjustment).
13. Front wheel alignment (at service stations).
Check and, if necessary, tighten the fastening of the following components and assemblies (tightening torques for threaded connections are specified in annex 1):
