Park the vehicle on level ground and place wheel chocks under the wheels before starting work. If you are changing the front wheel, apply the parking brake to the vehicle.
Warning: Loosen the wheel bolts and tighten them only with the vehicle on the ground. Do not lubricate the mounting bolts - this can lead to their self-loosening on the go.
Warning: Use a torque wrench for the first time to feel the required tightening torque for the wheel bolts (tightening torque see annex 1).
If you changed a wheel on the road, be sure to put the removed wheel and tool in the trunk.
Open the hood and unfasten the elastic strap on the spare wheel.
Loosen the screw securing the spare wheel and remove it with the washer.
Take out the spare wheel.
Use a wheel wrench to loosen the wheel nuts. It may take a lot of effort to do this.
Install a jack and raise the car. Install the support stand (see subsection 2.17).
Finally loosen the wheel nuts and remove the wheel.
Install the spare wheel. Tighten the fastening nuts without completely tightening them. Lower the car and evenly tighten the nuts of its fastening.
Check tire pressure and top up if necessary.
