Raise the engine hood and fix it in this position. From inside the engine compartment, perform the following operations:
- disconnect the wires from the battery, from the starter traction relay and the wire «masses» from the gearbox housing;
- disconnect the cable from the clutch release fork and the rear cover of the gearbox (see sect. «Clutch»);
- unscrew the two upper bolts securing the clutch housing to the engine block (one of them secures the top of the starter), disconnect the speedometer drive cable from the drive gear, remove the oil level indicator from the gearbox cover socket.
From below the vehicle, perform the following operations:
- drain oil from box 2 (pic. 80) gears, disconnect the wires from the reverse light switch 3, loosen the clamp 12 and disconnect the rod 13 from the hinge of the gear selection rod;
- unscrew the nut fastening the jet thrust 14 to the gearbox and disconnect the jet thrust, the thrust 13 and 14 are suspended from the body;
- disconnect the ball joints 8 of the suspension arms from the steering knuckles, the suspension arms 10 and extensions 11 from the subframe 1, disconnect the tie rods from the pivot arms;
- using a puller 67.7801.9524 or by sharply hitting the body of the internal hinge with a hammer through a punch, the hinges are knocked out of the semi-axial gears and the shafts 9 of the wheel drives are removed to the side. In case of difficulty in disconnecting the wheel drive from the side gear, the gearbox assembly with the wheel drive is removed and on the workbench, using the same puller, the hinge is pressed out of the side gear;
- unscrew the lower starter mounting bolt and remove it;
- unscrew the side bolts securing the clutch housing to the engine block using a special key for the rear right bolt;
- disconnect the bracket 4 of the suspension of the power unit from the bracket 6 of the longitudinal pipe 5 of the subframe;
- disconnect the left longitudinal pipe 6 (pic. 81) subframe from the body, from the cross member of the subframe and support 4 of the steering mechanism p remove it;
- supporting the gearbox behind the eye with a hoist or otherwise, displacing the gearbox assembly with the clutch housing from the engine to separate the input shaft of the gearbox and the clutch disc;
- remove the gearbox. In this case, the primary fell must not be supported on the petals of the pressure spring, so as not to damage them.
