Side door lock replacement

You will need:

• screwdriver
• pliers

Remove door trim (see subsection 9.6.1.). If the sliding window has been lowered, raise it as far as it will go.



1. Remove the two screws securing the inside door lock handle.



2. Remove the three screws securing the door lock.



3. Disconnect the linkage from the external drive of the door lock.



4. Push the lock inside the door.



5. Remove the power lock from the door and...



6.... push the handle of the lock drive inside the door.



7. Squeeze the latches of the rod holder with pliers and push the holder inside the door.



8. Remove the door lock assembly with drive rods from the vehicle.



9. Install the lock in the reverse order of removal. Check that the door opens easily and locks securely. Adjust the lock if necessary.
