Before starting work: Remove the brake pads.
1. Remove dirt from the bolts of the wheel cylinder and the air release valve. to make it easier to unscrew the bolts and nut of the brake tube, moisten them with a liquid such as WD-40.
2. Using a special wrench, unscrew the nut securing the brake pipe.
3. Disconnect the tube from the cylinder and plug its hole by putting on the air release valve cap.
4. Remove the two wheel cylinder mounting bolts.
5. Remove the wheel cylinder. Install the new cylinder in the reverse order of removal. Bleed the hydraulic brakes.
