Disconnect the wire from the terminal "–" battery.
Work can be carried out without removing the generator from the vehicle.
1. Disconnect the wire end from the brush holder.
2. Unscrew the two screws securing the voltage regulator with the brush holder.
3. Take out the voltage regulator assembly with the brush holder. Install the voltage regulator in the reverse order of removal. Check the operation of the voltage regulator (see subsection 8.2.4.).
