- jack
- support post
- wheel chocks (bars)
Attention! It is forbidden to work with the car installed only on a jack. Always place stable supports under the vehicle. On soft ground, place additional support, such as a sturdy board, under the bottom platform of the jack.
Replace the stock jack with a screw or hydraulic jack.
Install the jack in places where there is a stamping on the body.
1. Engage first gear and place wheel chocks (bars) under the front wheels if you raise the rear of the car. When lifting the front, apply the parking brake and chock the rear wheels.
2. Place the lower support pad of the jack on a horizontal section of the road.
3. By turning the handle of the jack, raise the top platform of the jack so that its groove engages with the flange connecting the threshold and the floor.
4. The lower support platform of the jack must be exactly under the upper platform. If installed incorrectly, the jack may "take shape", as it has insufficient transverse rigidity. Raise the car with a jack.
5. Install the support stand. The flange connecting the threshold and the floor must enter the groove of the upper platform of the support post.
Lower the jack to lower the car onto the stand.
