Before starting work remove the air filter.
Periodically clean the carburetor fuel filter and the fuel pump strainer.
With dirty filters, fuel stops flowing into the carburetor.

2....disconnect the fuel supply hose from the fuel supply fitting on the carburetor.
3. Unscrew the fuel supply and...
4...take it out of the carburettor cap.
5. Remove the fuel filter from the fitting.
6. Wash the filter with gasoline or acetone and blow it with compressed air. Replace damaged filter. Install the fuel filter in the reverse order of removal.
Fuel pump strainer
7. Loosen the fuel pump cover bolt.
8. Remove the cap from the fuel pump.
9. Remove the strainer, clean it with gasoline and blow it with compressed air. Replace damaged filter. Install the strainer in the reverse order of removal. Then reinstall the air filter.
